A spectrum of possible outcomes exist in reality,

Not to put too fine a point on it, ‘we live a little and die a little’…

Like Hailie’s Comet, the cycle may only come around in along time

Or like some moths, a life cycle may be a few day.

To live a life worth living, most of us put limits on what we do,

A happy medium is usually the rule of thumb.

Society is complex, and what is good for society is the rule,

But what is good for the individual does not always align with society,

Currently there are many outcomes that fall short of the individual but bode well for society.

Education is the key to making a informed decision:

Officials have unveiled a new proposal that will help fund plans to implement universal basic income across the country.

As more and more jobs are threatened by robots, officials have come up with a plan to eventually introduce universal basic income – which is basically a minimum salary that will be paid to all it’s citizens. Though it seems like a great idea, it will be expensive. How expensive? At least $43 billion.

To pay for it, early this week it was announced that online casinos would be permitted to operate. It’s expected that tax revenues collected from these online casinos and those from marijuana will be enough to pay for its plans to implement universal basic income.

“We have decided to permit online gambling and allow a few licensed and regulated casinos who have been determined to be legitimate and real. The taxation structure will be similar to how existing lottery systems operate, except this will be on a bigger level.

When questioned as to what would happen with tax revenues in the meantime, they said “these tax revenues will go towards funding various pension plans, and later, these two will be replaced with a universal income system.”

After the announcement was made, it was said that only a few online casinos are permitted to operate in the country, with Grand Mondial receiving the first license “because they helped draft legislation, and have been reviewed and examined to be fully compliant and legitimate.”

This group of people had a softer simple life because of money, low population, and less technology.

But they went through a lot of social change in the sixties, seventies and eighties.

Their relative lack of technology left them with a slower, but more physical society.

Yet, to live through change is hard for anyone and any generation.

We are all the same in this respect.

There are many Baby Boomers alive and well living in society today.

Ask them to take the quiz above with you and get to know your neighbor, friend or relative.

The truth is a mean mistress.

She fights you for love and hate.

She may value what you may not,

Or laugh when people cry,

She calls everyone a liar,

Why does she tell the truth?

Her philosophy is partial to virtue,

Her voice depends on my good work.

Her stunning nature reveals all to anyone with no reservation.

My mind blisters looking into her face.

Her power overwhelms the human race.

She answers all her calls

And always stands her ground,

I dare to love her ways.

I blame myself when she is misunderstood,

I can’t help acting like a knave in her presence.

Seeing The Light

I need to visualize the short story, draw it, see or show it, even when I tell it.

Like a movie, like a story, this is life or is it the other way around?

Can a writer alter his trait?

The short story is in my beholding eye.

Imitation is art because you can show and tell it.

Life can only be expressed through the will.

A decision needs to be made to move foreword.

And some mistakes happen along the way.

Life is about success and failure.

Many failures need to take place when the blueprint is unavailable for guidance.

The best blueprint I see is when I become aware of who I am in this moment.

These snap shots add to being alive and using the proper impressions.

The art work is just a beautiful story:  the truth.

It is my pleasure to attend to both in my lifetime.

Better to bloom late than not at all!

 

Not A Solo Artist, playboy or a loner…

As a man, I see a woman.

As a solo artist, I see people.

As a playboy, I get to meet women.

As a loner, I get to miss women.

People need each other, and I am good people.

People are basically good.

But I need direction like everyone else.

Looking for her is part of my daily duty.

Finding her requires that I am willing and able.

I prefer to accept the help of friends and relatives.

But my heart will always stay ready to risk it all on a lady who is ‘willing and able’.

My good friend Richard was a big fan of Diana Ross, partly because of his gay pride and  partly because he loved all things ‘queen’.

‘The Queen Of Motown, Diana Ross, is so big and so talented with all her glamour.’ Or so says Richard.

Although, Richard had many problems, and passed away a few years ago, he would be the first, to celebrate her accomplishments.

It is good to see she is still presenting her talent for good causes :  National Arts Centre Foundation.

Writing

Being a lifelong learner is easer when I write

It is as functional as my practice.

I write to gain more perspectives and to make directions ,notes and to do things more manually.

I appreciate people who write and do screen play,as artists, but everyone needs to write as a learning tool.

See what I did there,

I am trying to use the same formate as “Drawing”.

Ideally, we need many tools to build a good mind and stay a lifelong learner.

So let’s think outside the box.

The reasons I write and draw is to become a critical thinker, integrate theory with practice and explore to discover.

Art may imitate life, but writing and drawing builds a better mind that does both.

The Scent Of Religion

The association is strong with people and culture.

To understand humanity is to understand and accept religion within each of our limitations.

Not all people believe the supernatural aspects of a belief, but many love the ceremony, community and art embodied in all religious ways.

It’s true that there are difficulties in accepting the whole package.

Atheists are borne out of a strong desire to live without supernatural belief.

Many people have a good sense of skepticism in their day to day lives.

There is a lot more we have in common than we are different.

Science and philosophy attempt to fill the gap.

But we all look for answers.

And platitudes are mostly empty answers or partial at best.

So, the struggle to live and thrive is still a good goal.

I hope you continue to discover meaning and purpose for your entire life.

Solo

The most important trip is made from scratch.

Once here, the rest of life is still ‘important’.

To build a mind requires a brain to carry it in.

It probably is a good idea to leave it there.

A good mind will start to fail as the brain begins to do the same.

This can happen in numerous ways.

Many people loose their minds,

I felt a lose of mind in my late teens.

It has only been 4 decades, but I am starting to rebuild my brain and mind.

At this point, it is not about passion, but compassion.

It is not about intelligence but wisdom.

You can never have too much applied philosophy.

I am striving to live the good life.

The art of living is better than life itself.
