A Poet’s Muse

The truth is a mean mistress.

She fights you for love and hate.

She may value what you may not,

Or laugh when people cry,

She calls everyone a liar,

Why does she tell the truth?

Her philosophy is partial to virtue,

Her voice depends on my good work.

Her stunning nature reveals all to anyone with no reservation.

My mind blisters looking into her face.

Her power overwhelms the human race.

She answers all her calls

And always stands her ground,

I dare to love her ways.

I blame myself when she is misunderstood,

I can’t help acting like a knave in her presence.

She is demanding, selfish and pure! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Truth?wprov=sfti1

Moral Crosswords

What is the proper use of impressions?

Take any feeling and assess its value.

For example, I feel good about writing this poem.

Will it do me or others harm?

Not yet, at least I am unaware.

Am I doing it out of a craving or unnecessary want?

No, I need the practice, for myself and others.

Am I aware of any other necessary action?

I need to edit it.

Am I aware of any other reasons or beliefs?

Not at present, but there are plenty from my past.

Are there any other changes?

I just need to publish.

This kind of moral inventory is what is meant by learning to use the ‘proper use of impressions .’

Pain

The Philosophy Of pain is plain and simple.

To manage it requires a steadfast approach of simplicity, compassion and patience.

To process and act appropriately to pain means to use the stoic attitude and do no harm.

To elevate pain is usually complex and will usually abate when the stimulus is removed from the equation.

To evaluate pain sometimes requires a third party like a friend, family member or a physician (perhaps all three).

To act on this advice is to make an informed decision which is difficult at best and more so with pain present or whose arrival is imminent.

What Is Worth The Argument?

To have faith or believing in arguments that conclude in virtue,

To question and inquire how to be noble in conduct and behaviour,

Not for the sake of behaviour, conduct, virtue, argument or faith,

But to learn not to act on needless desire, assertion, impulse, repulse or moral certitude,

And to practice doing this process in all our affairs,

As if logic itself is the product of such a process.

True sensitivity helps us respond to our reaction, impulsivity, repulsiveness and unwanted desire,

This hard work heals our souls with good decisions that lead us to the proper use of those behaviours, conductors, virtues arguments and faith.

Not the other way around…

Ebola outbreak complex

Change is hard to see.

Look into Ebola in DRC,

We all need to be aware, accepting and supportive,

My Followership

Finding the right community is all about best practices.

The editor is the god to producing an appropriate audience.

To use finding tools like best practices and being a good editor is an organic thing.

It doesn’t hurt to use good communication like followers appreciation.

My followers start and end when you say so,

I like you when I can, I am asking you to return the compliment.

Thanks for all the support.

Michael’ Secrets

Perhaps ‘private practice ‘ is a better term.

I usually make a first and second draft.

Why fly without a net, I can see why I might keep money secrets, writing secrets, blog secrets.

Being anonymous has similar benefits,

Preparation is better than sloppy craft or a poor choice.

‘Do no harm’ is my motto, better ‘Michael’ is my goal.
