International Day of Peace

The United Nations’ (UN) International Day of Peace is celebrated on September 21 each year to recognize the efforts of those who have worked hard to end conflict and promote peace. The International Day of Peace is also a day of ceasefire – personal or political.

The more important question is about day two.

There is a need for continuing the work to a final conclusion:365 a year.

With this actuality, progress can continue to be strived for with concrete outcomes and a direction to improve on the day to day peace, ad infinitum…

Individuals need to be engaged, repeatedly to attempt a dialogue and affirmative action for ongoing continual peace.

John Lennon said it best, “Give peace a chance.”

Day by day, an actual scale to approach for everyone, in a spirit of collaboration and cooperation.

Virtue’s Too Nice For Avarice And Vice

Or are they one and the same,

Every vice has a craving associated with it.

Every person has a vice and a craving,

‘Who does it’, may sound like the right question.

How often…

Place vice on a pedestal and get really bad.

Deadly sin no longer has a ring on its finger.

Mortal has a better sound, had the flu of late.

Make me date,

There are viruses that would make your hair curl.

The body can’t tell the difference between protein and a virus.

All roads lead to recycling,

Who said anything was good to eat,

We better beat that drum.

Rum, rum, rum.

The race, the digital age, designer drugs

The timer is set, watch the news to hear the latest doom and gloom.

Set the stage with disaster to welcome our next triumph: recycle, reuse,

Are we part of a life cycle or a death cycle?

Cloister, cluster, life can be a mom with despair.

Yet, we are topping out with our population and poverty has been cut in half.

The good news and good life is a proposition.

Gravity is good when it holds things together.

Universal is almost as big, we strive to bring ever piece together.

Gloms together like real life, can it get any better?

Torture Due To Racism

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sterilization_of_Native_American_women

pain and violence leave scars on all people.

healing hurts but paves the way for opening education, prevention and awareness.

to describe the problem is to openly talk about indigenous women being viewed in untrue hateful ways and harmed in many more.

it may be time to read and listen carefully about this canadian torture.

Processed Spirituality (Spiritual Junk Food)

Empty affirmations, multiple mantrums, no practice, no peace of mind…

With all the technology, and multiple distractions from all the devices, no wonder there is a lack of commitment to any meaningful path or way to be grounded and experience actual spiritual growth.

The cellular phone is meant to be wired into our lifestyle and for all intensive purposes addictive and permanently altering our ability to become “awakened” or self-actualized by a healthy discovery of who we are.

Peace and quite are not wanted or even soothing, without constant access we can not control our increasing need for constant stimulation.

Are we paying attention to our family and relationships? Work?, Do we have hobbies?

Do we even care about sleep, exercise and eating balanced meals?

Where is our purpose and direction?

There is the constant need for work to acquire the ‘modern lifestyle’.

Do we even know how to rest anymore?

Meditation: calm, still, silent (do no harm)

Awareness is a continuum between relaxation on one side and concentration on the other.

Calm is in the middle. Strive for calm to find the balance between the two.

Outwardly, it is a motionless human body. Paying attention to the calm body is a balance between relaxation and concentration. In this second way, the form is to sit with stable legs and hip using a natural curve in the spine as the support.

The third way is a calm being. This means to pause from speaking. Let go of the habit to verbalize. Allow the inner critic or commenting to pause.

The practice is called learning to sit quietly in a room with the self: meditation.

Practice all three ways to learn how to meditate.

To become aware:

calm-the-body,

calm-the-mind,

calm-the-voice.

Pause the body,

Pause the mind,

Pause the voice.

Calm, still, silence: do no harm.

Meditate in all your affairs.

Isolation Epidemic

Who wants to collaborate in order to live a longer, healthier life?

The health authority believes we are all slowly dying from a lonely life.

Everyone is so plugged into isolation by driving, working online, using devices like cell phones, tablets, other DVD and cd like devices, the computer is isolating us from each other.

Have you ever noticed the increasing lack of contact when walking through the city streets.

There is a lack of planning for social events with neighbors with in so called community.

People are stopping from touching and feeling each other.

The hug and the kiss are being used less often and with fewer and fewer people.

Don't go touchy-feely on me!

People need to reconnect.

People need to share devices, spaces, watch each other's kids.

A good place to start is at home with a better form of community living.

How do you want to live?

Who do you want to connect with in our dying way?

People die, cities are becoming isolation hubs.

This epidemic is a 'writing on the wall' moment.

We need to reconnect and learn how to live in each other's lives again.

So, unplug from your devices more often, join in on community more often, be in a coop, eat together, play together, learn together.

We need to become better neighbor and friends and co-workers.

We need to reverse the isolation trend.

He says, She Says

“Kiss me.”

“What are you up to?”

“Nothing, kiss me again.”

“Why do you want me to kiss you all the time?”

“I don’t , I need time for myself and you do too.”

“I do not need time to myself , right now.”

“Alright then, what do you want from me?”

“I like it very much when you listen to what I say and tolerate what I do.”

“Ditto.”

“I like it when you are moderate, direct in speech, and being your best.”

“Ditto”

Check The Gas Tank

To yawn is to wake up.

Walk to oxygenate the blood.

Learn the difference between resting and relaxing.

Water is more important than food.

Take a light bath, get out in the sun.

On seeing, look at stuff you fear, take it apart and make some sense out of it.

Do we have to die?

Curing cancer is in the way.  Face the facts of your genetic passport.  Apply proteomics and watch out for oxidation.  Cardiac or hypertension will do us all in.  Science is truth found out.  We need our health.

Gandhi Health Guide may have been severe, but “prevention is better than cure.”

But don’t dwell on your health.
