Organon

Aristotle studied and thought hard about logic.

He understood and explained the whole idea in a series of books called by the title above.

This mystery is important as reading, writing and arithmetic.

Are you curious about being a thinker?

Maybe, you may want to clean up your thinking.

Giving Up My World or Dream

“…don’t make dreams your master,

Don’t make thoughts your aim.”

https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/how-to-let-go-of-materialism/

To have an intrinsic goal like finding more joy and happiness in my life,

To create habits like mindfulness, meditation, journaling and blogging,

Practice good nutrition, exercise, sleeping

Practice listening and learning,

Be a good person or live the good life,

Do my opus,

The ‘why’ or answer is to practice philosophy because it ads more to life than it takes away,

Philosophy can show a good way to renew the present.

T.V. Addition

I quit many bad habits and I have been whittling down my TV addiction.

How I Overcame TV Addiction, Reclaimed My Life and Gained Two Months Per Year

What is stopping me?

I think I will try and replace it with an audiobook while I prepare for work and bed.

I can turn off the audiobook when I read, write and study.

My goal is to read, write, study, research, exercise and sleep more.

It will be nice to be with people more and get out of the house more often.

I quit T.V. for 15 years but my purpose was less defined than now.

It is truly something I am willing to give up for life like smoking, booze and sugar!

Socrates And Me

In this dialogue, the father of philosophy attempts to help me understand, in my own thoughts, the ‘miraculous gift’. Socrates has listened to me my whole life, he knows it is vital to awaken a spirit of living in all those who are willing and able. For my part, the spirit is willing but the brain I have built is still ‘a brick short of a load’.

Socrates: Good evening Michael, how you doing?

Michael: If life was any better, I’d have to give you my left…anything you want Soc.

S: What is important to you?

M: My sister, mom, coworker, my writing, living the best I can each day. All I can care about.

S: Michael, you make a lot of mistakes like watching TV, not watching your health, avoiding work and writing. When will you ever learn?

M: You know I try my best.

S: Do I? I see you make choices that reflect, poor judgement and better and good judgement.

M: Yes, are we not all trying our best?

S: Far from it. We or I can do better.

M: I need to do better, life is so short.

S: What are you saying? Do you have an answer worth discussing?

M: The stoic said it is better to stop acting on desire until you make a dent on aversion.

S: Charming, your desires are a woman, yet they are an aversion, like your writing, work and a few other things in your life.

M: True, I am willing to risk more or to go without what I need until I can afford to do it. I need my job to pay my way in society. I am willing to give up everything to live the ‘good life’.

S: I believe you. And I think you are on the right track. Good life!

Writing

Being a lifelong learner is easer when I write

It is as functional as my practice.

I write to gain more perspectives and to make directions ,notes and to do things more manually.

I appreciate people who write and do screen play,as artists, but everyone needs to write as a learning tool.

See what I did there,

I am trying to use the same formate as “Drawing”.

Ideally, we need many tools to build a good mind and stay a lifelong learner.

So let’s think outside the box.

The reasons I write and draw is to become a critical thinker, integrate theory with practice and explore to discover.

Art may imitate life, but writing and drawing builds a better mind that does both.

The Scent Of Religion

The association is strong with people and culture.

To understand humanity is to understand and accept religion within each of our limitations.

Not all people believe the supernatural aspects of a belief, but many love the ceremony, community and art embodied in all religious ways.

It’s true that there are difficulties in accepting the whole package.

Atheists are borne out of a strong desire to live without supernatural belief.

Many people have a good sense of skepticism in their day to day lives.

There is a lot more we have in common than we are different.

Science and philosophy attempt to fill the gap.

But we all look for answers.

And platitudes are mostly empty answers or partial at best.

So, the struggle to live and thrive is still a good goal.

I hope you continue to discover meaning and purpose for your entire life.

The Vacant Soul

Even within the void, the soul survives,

When all life ceases,

When the universe collapses,

But wrench away all love,

For even an instant….

There is more than a gap, or hole,

For a hole in the soul will heal,

The inconsolable are clamoring to vacate the soul,

The mighty wars are destroying what soul lies within us,

Diseases like poverty, depression, and a lack of sustenance,

Yet, as we stand clear, or when all of us have fallen, the soul will remain,

It will endure all kinds of hardships,

It will remain for eons,

But even the soul will falter,

In the darkness, in the void, beyond, there is nothing.

Deep inside this vacant place where only the soul can visit,

We can learn a lot about absenteeism, desperation, abhorrence, disgust, and resentment.

But even here the soul is free.

It is like the soul will always be of value to those who can not care for themselves or even stand to live anymore.

The soul is a hearty representative.

To extinguish the soul is beyond even our collective ability.

But to be in a state where all color fades from the eye,

All life ceases to attract,

Here is where the soul lies vacant,

But it is still waiting,

It will wait forever.

Perhaps, time will pass, and life will return.

A vacant soul awaits you.

You can return.

Strive, inch by inch, don’t give up, never say never, life is too big to go away forever,

In this sense, the soul is immortal and alive,

So if you must despair, become inconsolable,

Try, inch by inch, when the color reappears, when you can feel life in your veins again,

To rejoice, you are with your soul, try not to neglect your soul.

No Cheats Allowed Inside

Virtue is an old fashioned word.

But when we were born, part of our development was moral structuring of our brain.

Through teenage years we developed ethics of morality.

And in adulthood we programmed ourselves with progressively cognitive ways to live.
