Change Is Challenge

Sometimes change is a pain in the ass.

Often we are kinda set up, we feel overwhelmed and our attitude sucks, we believe we are ‘over worked and under paid’.

There are moments when our awareness let’s us know we are stressed out.

When we feel depressed and stressed, change can become an insult.

So to reframe the problem, we are stressed and depressed and the insult of change just made us aware of it.

Damage control or triage may allow us a short term fix. We may manage the change.

But reality tells us to work out the rest of the problem…

So if we are just feeling depressed and stressed we can do what we always do: rest and relax, get on with the rest of our day.

We may chat it out with friends and relatives or write it out in a journal, do our exercises or work out, play with our hobbies. finish our chores and other responsibilities. Hit the shower and get a good night of sleep.

If your version is more like TV and beer we may have a bigger problem.

The idea is to find out our problem and start to work it out and try not to make it worse.

But we may have to make it worse if we are still stuck or unaware how bad a problem we really have.

No matter how far along the continuum of change you find us, remember we are all on the same path.

Some of us have not met with clinical depression or harmful stress, but wait for it.

We all have a chance to meet them along the path.

Life is the challenge and it is full of change.

Good luck with both!

An Early Window on Mother’s Day

Happy Mother’s Day 2018

A Lifetime of Assistance

When I was a kid, you would look after me well,

As an adult, I’m glad you didn’t send me to hell,

I had lots of ups and downs to overcome,

You’d watch and support me through everyone,

As I grew, you saw me change and grow,

You accepted me and worked hard to let me go

I moved to Edmonton for 25 years,

You took my calls and flowers each one of these years,

I came back to Victoria 15 years ago,

We are friends and help each other grow…

I’m looking forward to heading out with you

To the casino on Mom’s Day, see you soon.

Your Son, Michael

Mother’s Nature

Fragile and alone, she stood in the wind and snow.

She hated getting cold and the wind.

Yet her day began and ended in perpetual motion.

She floated on a sea within a sea.

She was a part of the universe.

More questions came to her mind than answers.

Who cares, her one thought was to do no harm and to continue to live in harmony with all her neighbors: the moon, the stars and other planets, the solar system.

The sun was beautiful and marvelous.

There was lots for everyone.

Why did humanity want to harm her in their home?

Processed Spirituality (Spiritual Junk Food)

Empty affirmations, multiple mantrums, no practice, no peace of mind…

With all the technology, and multiple distractions from all the devices, no wonder there is a lack of commitment to any meaningful path or way to be grounded and experience actual spiritual growth.

The cellular phone is meant to be wired into our lifestyle and for all intensive purposes addictive and permanently altering our ability to become “awakened” or self-actualized by a healthy discovery of who we are.

Peace and quite are not wanted or even soothing, without constant access we can not control our increasing need for constant stimulation.

Are we paying attention to our family and relationships? Work?, Do we have hobbies?

Do we even care about sleep, exercise and eating balanced meals?

Where is our purpose and direction?

There is the constant need for work to acquire the ‘modern lifestyle’.

Do we even know how to rest anymore?

Plant Therapy

Abele Green is my 15 year old Easter Lilly that needs a haircut.

She gets equal work for equal pay.

I have the responsibility to water, weed and repot her.

She keeps me honest and freshens up my place.

A reminder of my friendship with my mother, I try to treat her with TLC…

Love

Powerful feeling of attractiveness and fondness that is a virtue to build a better world.

Do not despair, remember our love congers all terror, deceit and pity.

Truth will prevail, all the world has this way, it must be or return to this natural state.

All throughout history this has been the way.

Remember this way when events find a contrary way, it will return and balance.

It has always been this way…

The Global Citizen’s Manifesto

You shall not die in vain, the people’s world citizen will meet to start a movement to right all people who face violence or persecution of all kinds: any kind of systemic abuse to individuals or group, minority or majority, indigenous, victims of all emergencies, poverty, illness , ad infinitum…

Does the majority make the law? A nation? An elite?…

Where is the law when these groups marginalize refugees and immigrants?

People fight for people, law is common ground, we need to revolutionize our emerging global crisis!

Reading The Writing On The Wall

It says there is a limit to people, places and things.

This is important when trying to assess the use or how to treat oneself or others.

The proper use of impressions is like having a moral compass with problems we are faced with in our day to day lives.

Sometimes it is best to follow the rules or tried and true methods worked out by previous generations.

The past has paid dearly for all the answers, wealth and experience past down from our people, countries and more…

Presently, we are learning much and receiving much that is roughly described as good bad and ugly.

And the future holds more of the same.

Yet, moral discernment is a complex ability.

We need to use it in all manner of ways.

Today I fail.

Again, and again, and then, perhaps I will learn to set myself right.

In this same sense, some of us live and learn to some degree…

What we write on this wall is a true measure of our moral responsibilities.

I like to read and believe ever word on this wall of ours.

May we all contribute many more paragraphs….

Creating Paradise

There is a source that heals all pain.

But this place doesn’t exist on earth.

Some call it heaven, nirvana, the soul, the mind…

Ideas come to mind, like the ones by Thoreau and Emerson, Plato, Socrates, Lao Tzu, Buddha, Jesus, Muhammad, and many more less known.

What about the good part of you?

Why live by accepting help and offering it to others?

This is not about fame, fortune or forgiveness.

We all crave some health and happiness.

It is about the willingness to improve the way things are today.
