Why Understanding And Accepting ‘Argument’ Is Important

In today’s society, people are becoming dumber, unengaged, and too nice.

Dumber, because technically we don’t think enough to work out our own problems, nor do we help sort out societal problems.

Luckily there is a way out. Or through our modern day dilemma.

Unengaged, because we isolate, avoid others and remain uninformed about the very issues causing all these symptoms in society today.

Too nice, we have been followers in one of the riches cultural exchanges of this generation.

Sink or swim? Stop. Think. Decide.

You need to learn to reverse course, learn why and how to argue.

Email Chainmail Of Sorts

My challenge to you is to read this blog which states for all those who purport to do good in this world to do the following.

1. Write an email to somebody enclosing a positive message.

2. Tell them to write another (positive) email to somebody else with the instruction to do the same.

Get it, got it, good!

Who Do You Want Socrates To Be?

He is learning to be a better person.

I am doing the same by learning from my teacher : Epictetus.

Who is your teacher?

I think Socrates posits the question best through getting to know himself and staying anonymous ( not writing much down and becoming complex through a student called Plato).

I like it that money is available but not to excess.

I like it that education is key to being a better person.

It seems important to do my best and do no harm.

It is tragic that Socrates died to prove a life is worth living.

But if I truly understand, I may yet be free from the clutches of vice and ruin.

I believe in a living life kind of stoicism.

To be rational, find mental and moral health and let go of hate or a lack of compassion for yourself or others.

I guess I believe in quality of life.

Explicative, distraction , rudeness

On the move, walking through, doing all you can do….

Social media and real life are converging in many ways, but it is the negative consequences that have hit a high point since our post pandemic day.

There is a way to express this nonsense and do something about it.

I am a juggler. I can keep moving when I have two or three balls in the air at once.

I do some preparation to avoid useless harm and needless suffering.

Social interventions like this polite article helps me put things in perspective.

I am usually busy and happy to be busy but I am finding it too hard to continue my way as there are too many obstacles to avoid.

Like juggling, I tend to operate in a clear space to avoid being over run.

I encounter a lot of rude people on my job, on social media and the two areas I am at risk are getting worse.

I have been run down by all the poor behaviour from a few individuals.

So, that does not stop me from the kind, cooperative approach and the many good people I encounter each day.

Today I am preparing for work by cleaning up my work space and making it safe to be the juggler I prefer to be.

I notice the vehicle is safer with regular cleaning, organization and light duty maintenance.

My schedule needs the same kind attention.

As does my social media.

My intention is to carry on this way.

Best regards,

Two Ideas I am into these days

These books are about my interests in learning to improve my critical thinking skills and to become aware of right-wing extremism.

Hopefully, you will find a book to borrow to enhance your practice as a lifelong student.

Why Prevent Disease?

Some would argue, we have done all we can with traditional medicine and prevention is the next best thing.

Preventative Medicine?

I believe the progenitor of all ways are the pursuit of prevention through philosophy, belief, and imagination or curiosity.

We understand through the senses, primarily sight.

We cure or prevent through thinking outside the box.

The way we do this is through belief.

The best way to believe is to theorize and practice or experiment on yourself in a way that does no harm.

Become your healthspan.

Prevent disease before it happens to you or just live a healthy life.

Pursue health wealth and well being through the senses.

Find what works for you and do it.

This all sounds rather childish without a blueprint to follow.

A good life is the practice of what works for you while doing the least amount of harm to yourself and others.

Examine or get to know yourself.

Find out what you are doing that is self destructive to you and others.

Make a sincere effort to turn those bad habits around.

While you do all the above, keep looking for what works for you and do it.

You will prevent problems in your lifestyle and Improve your healthspan.

Humour yourself and try to do it for a few weeks, reassess and convince yourself to do it again.

If you need some encouragement to continue, come back here and look for some or look somewhere you can find it and do it for another few week. Keep building this habit until it becomes a lifelong habit passion, healthspan!

Can He Communicate Under Stress?

Can he communicate under stress when a human life is in the balance?

Can he do that?

If it’s a human life that isn’t in jeopardy but a toilet to clean, can he communicate under stress?

What do you wish you can do?

(Do your best and do no harm, using the proper use of impressions.)

Discipline = Freedom

Maybe, if you work for it!

What does “having it all” mean to you? Is it attainable?

My dad use to say,”Nothing in life is free.”

I think he meant something important to live by : do your best, do no harm to yourself and others. Use the proper use of impressions. And don’t worry.

It take a life time of experience, thinking, feeling acting and believing.

Do your best. It will be worth it.
