Deep sea Activity Off Vancouver Island

Glancing at the Globe this morning, there is a report of a major up tic in activity.

It appears there is major changes to occur on the seafloor west of Tofino,

5 kilometres deep and 260 kilometres west of Tofino (in the ocean off Vancouver Island).

It will be too distant and too small to be of concern.

Last week, up to 200 small earthquakes per hour were detected, Scientists with Ocean Networks Canada are predicting an eruption is coming anywhere from a few weeks to a few years from now after this detection.

Obviously, when and where seem important and if it will be of danger to people or animals, the there does not appear to be any need to be of concern because of remote location far under the sea.
