Jack Of All Trades, Master Of None.

Presently, I am in transition.  I’m on my way to being a wine maker consultant (of the kit variety).

I was a production worker for the last ten years (of the wine kit variety).

I was a night pool serviceman for 3 grueling years (ten at night till six in the morning).

I worked as a City of Edmonton employee from 1986 till 2003.

At the City, I worked as an Industrial Wastewater Inspector.

At the City, I worked as a technical assistant in a wet chemistry lab .

At the City, I worked as an Archives Aide.

I did a stent in Edmonton as a Reservation Clerk for Triple Five Corporation, for four of their Hotels.

Briefly, I worked as an assistant manager for the Europa Gallery at West Edmonton Mall.

I love to Bike, Hike, and Write!

I have done the latter most of my life.

I’m white.

My bark is worse than my bite.

I was a student naturalist, ecologist, and Teacher’s Aid in Biology.

I spent a year or two at University.

I’ve been to Camosun College, UBC, UVic, UofA, and Athabasca University.

I love philosophy and living a healthy life.

I’ve done other things too:  firefighting in the bush, lots of star-gazing and working as an assistant manager at a campsite out near Qualicum.

I’d like to avoid being a starving artist and work at everything I know how to do.

Emily Vs. Emily

Both were artists if using the term very loosely.

But one was Canadian and the other American.

Our Emily is a famous painter and writer.  But mostly, famous for her painting.

Your Emily is a famous poet.  Although she was born in the 1800’s she was born 50 or so years earlier than our Emily.

Yes, our Emily Carr is a Canadian:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emily_Carr

Yes, your Emily Dickenson is an American:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emily_Dickinson

Spring Trilogy

Pro Choice (Education) I

Can I have a baby?

It is my decision.

She wants a healthy baby, but is not having one.

She wants to stop over population.

She wants to wait until she meets the  best man.

She is trying to control her life.

Who is telling her to have a baby?

He is telling her.

Society is telling her.

Her parents are telling her.

She listens and chooses not to have a baby.

Who is mad at her?

People who choose to support people who are having babies.

Who is aloud to protest in a peaceful manner?

Who is aloud to me mad at someone or some group?

How can we coexist in peace?

Why fight for peace?

Why work for peace?

Why practice good habits?

Why do we need to change?

Why is there poverty?

What can we do about it?

Why is there war?

What can we do about it?

Why learn?

Why listen?

Who cares?  Why do they care?

How can we be better human beings?

Why question?

Learning to live life the best we can.

Spring (Question) Learning And Yearning II

Life blossoms around us in many ways:  the birds and the bees.

What about the flowers and the trees?

What about love?

Does it just happen?

Do we prepare for it?

How do we educate ourselves?

There are more ways to spring into life than just ‘doing it.’

How to plan a life.

How to live a life.

How to be.

How to do something that is best.

What is best?

Where is best?

These questions help clear the way for a better life.

Why question spring?  It is time.

Is it necessary to believe in spring?

Does it just happen?

When is spring?  March 20th?

Spring is truth and beauty.

The fountain represents youth, the new, and spring.

Spring is here and now.

There is a sense of celebration about it.

The miracle of life seems to happen during spring:  growth (inner?outer?)

Pro Choice (Or Pro Abort?) III

Who is right to abort a fetus, to have more than one wife, to do harm to any life (in any form)?

Who is right to believe they are right or wrong?

To choose to help rather than hurt, is this right?

To choose for another like saving a life?

To risk your own life, when is this right?

How do we learn the best way to live when in a big city?

Bylaws?  Crime and punishment?  all the regulating and politicking?

We have com a long way baby!

And we continue to get bigger and better.

Make it happen, choose to stand out in the crowd.

Use, don’t abuse your rights!

International Happiness Day

Happiness is…

Having a channel about happiness is… on YouTube!

Being able to learn from bad habits and change them into a good habit.

Being able to reacquire the balance that brings happiness to life.

Being willing and able to suffer and to try my best even when I’m not happy.

But being able and willing to eventually regain a sense of happiness or die trying to attain this state.

Eventually realizing, that no matter how bad life is there is usually a way through these difficulties in the here and now.

Keeping all these gems of wisdom in play to stay happy!

LOL, this is a lot of hard work.

Make It Happen (International Women’s Day 2015)

Epictetus says bravely that the purple stripe that is the garment’s brilliant hem.

Being willing and able to work for equality in a society that is not so willing and able to afford it.

Being willing and able to ‘stand out’ takes many forms of courage that is not encouraged by the bulk of our humanity.

To have been granted the freedom and the power to work  peace of mind (in solitude) may seem like a strange thing to do when all around you are blaming you.

To oppose an accommodating convention is not rebellion.

Flash forward from 1911, by all means call it progress, but don’t stop when it is your turn to do some work.

Keep renewing your energy while all that opposes equality strikes haphazardly in your direction.

Endurance is not a four letter word.

No form of violence is acceptable.

Is living your passion possible?

What say you?
